OSHA Investigating lack of breaks, water complaints for racetrack subcontractor
KVUE Austin- ELROY – A spokesperson with the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) confirmed with KVUE News on Monday that their investigators were out at the site of the racetrack in Elroy Monday morning, responding to complaints from construction workers who said they were not getting breaks nor water in the heat.
“This weekend, we heard reports from several workers that a crew of 80-workers on the Formula 1 racetrack were not receiving water or any rest breaks in the heat,” said Greg Casar with the Workers Defense Project, an Austin group advocating for safe working conditions for all employees. read more
