Day of the Fallen March and Advocacy Day

Wednesday, February 27, 3:45-5:30 pm

Workers Defense Project invites you to march with hundreds of construction workers, their families and community supporters to march to the capitol in honor of Texas construction workers and to remember those who have died in this deadly industry. We need your help to remind our state policy makers that We Build Texas and that we deserve safe working conditions and fair pay! Prior to the march, join us for an Advocacy Day from 10am-3pm to visit with legislators to educate them about the dangerous conditions faced by Texas construction workers- and what Texas can do to make sure they make it home safe to their families! Contact Sarah at sarah@workersdefense.org to register for the march and advocacy day. Location: March starts at the J.J. Pickle Federal Building Plaza (801 San Jacinto St.) and concludes at the South Steps of the Capitol

    Sarah,
If we just want to do the march, should we meet the group at
    3:45 pm?

If we decide to also do the Advocacy day, where and when should we meet up with the group?

    Thanks,
    Claire Closmann

Hi! My name’s Charles and I know of the WDP through AFL-CIO meetings and by being on the board at ATCF (Austin Tan Cerca de la Frontera). I can go to the advocacy day at least most of the time–but in the afternoon, I have to be at work and unfortunately would not be able make the march. Will you meet on the capital steps prior to going in to meet with legislators?

Best & thanks for all you do!
    Charles
